After marrying my sweetheart in 2007, we had our first baby and moved into our first home (on the same day!) nearly two years later. Now with another mischief maker running around the house and a third carried about on the hip, we find ourselves blessed with three children under three years old. The sweet tranquil moments and the trying ones that lead us to call out for God's grace result in a flux of near constant change as I continually adjust our lives, and our furniture placement, to best accommodate our growing family in this suburban existence. This is my record of our precious children, crafts, recipes, furniture building and refinishing as we move through this tract of life.
"My life is an example to many, because you have been my strength and protection. That is why I can never stop praising you; I declare your glory all day long." - Psalm 71:7-8
“You shall therefore love the LORD your God. . . . You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul. . . . You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” This passage from Deuteronomy 11:1-19 builds a framework for a life that glorifies God.
